Also everybody drove Red Cadillac cars. Mississippi Sipp first taste of success was when a local Artist and a close friend of his uncle Eric “Snoop” Brisco named Ced-T had gotten recognized by a local Texas record company called Rap-A-Lot Records but Ced T was later on Killed and gunned down in a neighborhood in Leland,Mississippi but not by any rivals but by a out of towner who was just a Jealous person. After all the heartache and pain of seeing a young Artist get Killed at the time Mississippi Sipp was at the age on the come up to where he can understand that even the closets or the person you look up too most can leave or get killed at any given moment. In 1998, Mississippi Sipp was forced to relocate in another rough area up north which was the Northern Virginia/Washington DC (DMV) area due to so much violence and gang banging in his Leland,Mississippi neighborhood after he and others joined and restarted a long time click “VICE LORDS” were they only wore Redd and always kept trouble around since there was nothing left to do in Leland,Mississippi besides Rapping,Dope Selling,Stealing,Smoking,Hustling,Keeping it Real or just living day to day Grind and day to day Crime. The mixtape contained the hit single from the underground film Down South Live&Uncut called Dirty Struggle a tale of a young hustler bleeding the block red. The record made Mississippi Sipp an instant local star but fans never took it serious for a young 14yr old at the time to say and talk about such harsh street tales also with the I-dont-give-a-fuck attitude on the mic and with no video or radio support the single was heard but after time passed by it was forgotten. As a result of all the negativity and moving back and forth from up north too going back down south to Leland,Mississippi and in & out of trouble his talent started to fade and all focus was lost but at the same time Mississippi Sipp continued to listen to all old school southern music especially “Screw Music” plus new and upcoming artists from the south with that being said gave him personal time to write for others and write his own songs from the struggles he was going through at the moment, Before Mississippi Sipp had a chance to give up his rap ambition another local CEO from up north by the name of Brian Pinkney heard Sipp flowing outside of a club one night and wanted to sign him instantly to his company called ASAP Records but instead he actually assisted Mississippi Sipp at establishing his own label Kandy Paint Records in the summer of May 2005. Kandy Paint Records & Mississippi Sipp Will Not Accept A 360 Artist Record Deal

In the music industry, a 360 deal is a business relationship between an artist and a music industry company. The company agrees to provide financial support for the artist, including direct advances as well as funds for marketing, promotion and touring. The artist agrees to give the company a percentage of all of their income, including sales of recorded music, live performances and any other income.

The business arrangement is an alternative to the traditional recording contract. During the first decade of the 21st century, revenues from recorded music fell dramatically and the profit margins traditionally associated with the record industry disappeared. The 360 deal reflects the fact that much of a musician’s income now comes from sources other than recorded music, such as live performance and merchandise.

Although I agree that frequently when dealing with the record labels, the so-called 360 deals do not work for artists, it is mostly because the labels are not properly staffed to exploit the rights that they obtain from the artists and the artists’ share of revenue is still calculated using convoluted and unfair accounting methods. If, however, the deal is structured in a way where the company, not necessarily a traditional record label, participates in all of an artist’s revenue streams, the company is properly equipped to aggressively exploit those rights and the economics provide for an equitable split of receipts, the deal could be mutually beneficial. Under the right conditions both artist and company are equally incentivized and can focus on the most profitable or creatively desirable revenue streams. Changing market conditions continue to reduce revenue derived from sales, physical and digital collectively. Still, the companies that make the substantial investment in developing, recording and marketing brands (artists are brands), are entitled to earn a reasonable return on their investment. Now, that means participating in the multiple revenue streams generated from the exploitation of the brands they build. I’m not greedy but point blank period no one should ever have access to my personal revenue streams that I created on my own. I understand the initial investment towards Kandy Paint Records but thats on 1 level not ALL. Me Personally now Im a real nigga so Ill be willing to compromise to where we ALL can get WEALTHY alot quicker together. I mean lets start to make some sense out of this now you can record a album,movie or any other content and post it right to the Internet the same minute. Artist can also record a full album in their car if they like too! In other words the world has changed and so has the Game so therefore if you cant adapt to the new age rap game then your useless as a Artist. Be smart my nigga! Stay Focused! He also became the label’s main artist, and also will releasing the album “Pimp Tendencies” later this year. By 2014, Kandy Paint Records will grow to consist of Mississippi Sipp, Big Mook, Black Dog Puna,Reign,& Clake. Mississippi Sipp also writes,produce,direct,act and screen write. This started his movie career which will lead to films such as Rise 2 Fame & Welcome 2 Leland. Big Mook, Golden Boy, debuted at Number One in the streets.Many of the Kandy Paint Records artists will reach longevity and complete other projects. By 2014 it appears that the focus of Kandy Paint Records was unlimited to the Leland Mississippi family. This notion was further strengthened with the release of his artist, Black Dog Puna self titled debut album. On January 12,2014, the company buzz was so large that they literally had the Internet going buzzing. Mississippi Sipp realized it is more sensible to continue to run Kandy Paint Records and organize and finance the company with profits from Digital Downloads & Club Appearance sales plus the assistance from a few private investors. He named his publishing company Kandy Paint Content”. By 2014, the organized label has full ownership. Kandy Paint Records look forward to developing its very own distribution company, Black Dog Entertainment.
